Cell for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology (CASST) encourages imagination, develop intellectually curious minds and expose young students to exciting new experiences. With the objectives of enhancing scientific and research, presentation, team building, interview and inter-personal skills among students, Canara College established CASST in 2019-20 academic year.

The Cell has initiated some activities to the members that aims them to develop knowledge and skills through experience. The Cell has continued to support various initiatives to help, restore and improve scientific inquiry among students.

Besides, the cell encourages the members towards higher education, develop practical knowledge of science and technology. The cell motivates its members to pursue research in science and affords a strong conceptual and practical framework to build, develop and manage teams and witness practical exposure to the methodologies involved in the research. Thus, the cell provides the requisite platform for the members to interact with renowned scholars hailing from different specialization.
