Centre for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology (CASST) organized a program entitled “Motivation towards research”,a talk by Dr.Yuvaraj A. R, on the August 05,2022, held at the Seminar Hall, Canara College.
Vikitha V. (2nd B.Sc.) was the Master of Ceremony. Vikesh (3rd B.Sc.) through his welcome speech, welcomed the principal of college, Dr. Premalatha V Pai, the resource person, Dr. Yuvaraj A. R, the Staff Convenors Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala, Mrs. Rajyalaxmi, Mrs. Roopashri K. P and the student convenors Vikesh, V. Dheeraj Shenoy(3rd B.Sc.), and the students gathered for the programme. This was followed by a prayer by Kavyashree U(3rd B.Sc.).
Dr. Yuvaraj gave an informative talk on the topic of doing research and also the importance of doing project work. He instructed the students to take up project work that ultimately helps to solve a real world problem. To make students understand the need for doing research and project work, he showed a video about Liquid Crystal Displays, which included the past, present and future of the LCD displays, and informed how small research/project work make way to newer research. He also shared some interesting stories about the research work he did at Raman Institute of Research, Bangalore. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Anushree (3rd B.Sc.).Photos were taken by Rahul Shenoy (3rd B.Sc.)
