Workshop on Soft Skill

Centre for Advanced Study in Science and Technology organized a workshop on Soft Skill programme -Personality Development to the members on February 6, 2020 from 9:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M in the seminar hall. The formal session began at 9:30 A.M by invoking the god’s blessings. Secretary of the Centre Akhil of III B.Sc welcomed and introduced the Resource Person Mr. Steevan D’Souza Soft Skill Trainer, Mangalore to the gathering. Dr. Yashodhara I., Coordinator of the Centre briefed the activities of the Centre during the academic year 2019-20. Presiding over the session Dr. K.V.Malini mentioned her presidential address that soft skills training give benefit for Empowerment, Mastery & Purpose ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, employers, clients and customers, friends and even with family members. Soft skills also develop the leadership skills to improve teamwork, creativity, efficiency & productivity. She urged the participants to make use of this prospect. Ujwal of III B.Sc proposed the vote of thanks. Joint Secretary of the Centre Ms. Tanvi of III BCA hosts the formal session. Mrs. Babitha Shetty and Ms. Keerthi Alva co-conveners of the Centre were present.

The workshop of soft skill is conducted in a very informal, interesting, and interactive manner with number of activities which gave ample scope for the students to interact with each other and face a wide variety of issues, topics, and situations that they are likely to come across as entry-level managers. The workshop also gave a scope to develop effective presentation skills, become self-confident individuals by mastering inter-personal skills, team management skills, and leadership skills and way to develop all-round personalities with a mature outlook to function effectively in different circumstances. All the participants were took part enthusiastically. 36 students participated in this workshop.
