The Department of Business Administration organized an orientation programme for the newly admitted 56 first-year BBA students on July 31, 2025, to familiarize them with the course structure and provide an overview of the resources and opportunities available to them during their academic journey. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Mrs. Pushpalatha, Assistant Professor. The Head of the Department, Mrs. Seema Prabhu S., delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of business education in today’s globalized world and encouraged the students to take full advantage of the learning opportunities provided by the department. She took the stage to introduce the students to the various resources and facilities available on campus. This included the library, computer labs, sports facilities, and student support services. Special emphasis was placed on the rules and regulations of the college and the use of the library and digital resources for academic research. She also discussed the academic guidelines according to AICTE norms, including the attendance policy, examination system, and grading criteria.
Following the address, the faculty members were introduced to the students. Each faculty member briefly described their academic background, areas of expertise, and the subjects they would be teaching. This session helped students become acquainted with their professors.
Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Assistant Professor, presented an overview of the BBA course structure. The presentation covered the semester-wise distribution of courses, the credit system, and the importance of internships and projects. To promote holistic development, the orientation included a session on student activities and various associations. Representatives from various student associations provided information about extracurricular activities. The students were encouraged to participate actively in these associations to develop their leadership and teamwork skills.
Mrs. Laxmi Hedge, Assistant Professor, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions about the course, campus life, and future career prospects. The faculty addressed the queries, providing clarity and guidance.
