The Centre for Post-Graduation Studies in Commerce, in association with ICT Academy, organized an online seminar on “Crafting Research Articles” on December 23, 2025. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator, M.Com Department, under the guidance of Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, Canara College, Mangaluru. The seminar was conducted by Dr. G. Narendra, Head – Research Publication, Content Development and Quality Assurance, ICT Academy, who brought his extensive expertise to guide the participants.A total of 56 students enthusiastically participated in this enriching online session, demonstrating keen interest in enhancing their research capabilities.
Dr. Narendra delivered a comprehensive presentation covering crucial aspects of research writing, including the systematic approach to writing research papers, understanding and avoiding plagiarism, differentiating between primary and secondary research papers, and adhering to publication standards. The resource person emphasized the importance of originality, proper citation practices, and ethical considerations in academic research. The interactive session allowed students to clarify their doubts and gain practical insights into the research publication process. The seminar proved instrumental in building students’ confidence and competence in academic writing, preparing them for future research endeavors and contributing to their quest for academic excellence.
