The orientation programme for M.Com first year students 2026-28 batch was organised on August 18, 2026 by the Centre for Post-Graduation Studies in Commerce. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Sri CA M. Jagannath Kamath, Correspondent, and Dr. Premalatha V., Principal of Canara College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, symbolizing the start of the academic journey for the new batch.
The programme then commenced with a departmental briefing by Mrs. SwathiNayak, PG Coordinator, M.Com Department, who outlined the expectations from students and encouraged them to shape their future through dedication and active participation. This was followed by a message from Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, who briefed the students about the college facilities and stressed the importance of making the best use of opportunities, including MOOC Swayam courses. Sri CA M. Jagannath Kamath, Correspondent, further motivated the students to focus on skill improvement and to utilize the two years of the M.Com programme to the fullest. The event was anchored by Mrs. Sneha Pai, Faculty of the M.Com Department. A total of 24 students attended the session.
