The Centre for PG Studies in Computer Applications, Canara College, organized an insightful session on “Professional Ethics and Preparedness for Placement” on November 17, 2025, for the First Year MCA students (2025–26 batch) as part of the Induction Programme. The primary goal of the session was to enhance students’ awareness of ethical conduct in professional environments and to equip them with essential employability and career-readiness skills.
The resource person, Mrs. Shailaja Kumari T. G., Assistant Professor, Centre for PG Studies in Computer Applications (MCA), emphasized the importance of professionalism through appropriate workplace behavior, effective communication skills, time and stress management, and maintaining a positive and ethical attitude.
Furthermore, the session offered valuable guidance on placement preparedness, including interview preparation strategies, professional dress code, commonly asked interview questions, and handling stress interviews. The session was highly beneficial in boosting students’ confidence and readiness to face future placement opportunities.
A Total of 55 students were present during the session.
