The IT Association of the Department of Computer Science and Applications organized an informative and hands-on session titled “IoT for Beginners: Create, Connect, Innovate.” The event was held on November 18, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Lecture Hall–30.
The session was conducted by Ms. Swarnashree, a final-year MCA student from Canara College. She introduced the participants to the fundamental concepts of the Internet of Things (IoT) and explained the working principles of simple IoT devices. The resource person also provided insights into real-time applications and IoT device categories, along with live demonstrations, enabling participants to better understand practical implementations. Students actively engaged in the activities and gained valuable knowledge about emerging IoT technologies.
The program was coordinated by Ms. Shravya A R, who served as the Master of Ceremony. The session began with an Invocation led by Ms. Dhanashri Prabhu of I BCA C, followed by the Welcome Address and Introduction of the Resource Person delivered by Ms. Roopa Gadiyar of I BCA C. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Dhanshri Prabhu of I BCA C. The session was presided over by Mrs. Babitha S, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications and IT association conveners. A total of 38 students actively participated in the session.
