The Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Commerce organized an academic discussion on the Iran–USA Conflict and Global Commerce on April 08, 2026, at 2:30 PM in the Smt. Ratna S. Shenoy Memorial Seminar Hall, Canara College, Mangaluru. The session was moderated by CA Giridhar Kamath, Special Invitee from the Governing Council of the Canara High School Association, Mangaluru, along with his team members from his office. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator, and faculty members Mrs. Sneha Pai and Mrs. Shwetha Pai, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Premalatha V. The event was hosted by Ms. Arptha of II M.Com.
A total of 42 students participated in the activity. They were divided into groups of five members each, and the concept of the programme was discussed in three rounds. The rounds focused on strengthening conceptual knowledge, improving group discussion skills, and boosting confidence levels. The interactive format encouraged students to critically analyze the theme, exchange perspectives, and articulate their ideas effectively. The structured rounds ensured that every participant had an opportunity to contribute meaningfully, thereby fostering collaborative learning and academic enrichment.
