The Sharada Pooja was celebrated at Canara College on September 28, 2025, with great devotion, cultural significance and enthusiastic participation from students and staff. The event reflected the institutions deep respect for tradition and its commitment to fostering a spiritual and harmonious environment on campus.
The Pooja ceremony was organized in two important locations- the college library and main entrance. The library symbolizing the seat of knowledge was beautifully adorned with flowers, rangoli and traditional decorations. The entrance of the college also radiated a festive ambience, welcoming everyone to take part in the divine celebration.
Members of the college management including the Principal and the Administrator were present for the ceremony. Their gracious presence added dignity to the celebration and motivated students to participate actively. Faculty members from various departments also attended the event, further strengthening the feeling of unity and devotion.
A special highlight of the celebration was the Bhajan program presented by the students. Their melodious devotional singing created a serene and spiritual atmosphere drawing everyone into the divine mood of the occasion.
Towards the conclusion of the event, sweets and panaka were distributed among the students, adding joy and sweetness to the celebration. Approximately 800 students took part, marking it as one of the most well-attended traditional events of the academic year.
The Sharada Pooja celebration concluded peacefully, reinforcing the values of devotion, cultural respect and togetherness. It served as a reminder of the importance of knowledge, humility and collective participation in preserving the institutions rich inheritance.
