TERAHERTZ 2025

Terahertz 2025, an inter-class Science and IT fest, was organized by the Science and IT Association of our college on September 24, 2025, at 9:30 A.M. with the theme “Tech Talent and Transformation in Every Hertz”. The Chief Guest, Mr. Dhyanaja Alva, Software Engineer at Microsoft, Bengaluru, Alumnus of Canara College, inaugurated Terahertz 2025. In his address, he spoke about the current era of technology, software development, how to crack aptitude exams, how to get into reputed companies, and the advanced technologies students should explore. Dr. Premalatha V, Principal, in her Presidential Address, stated that losing is not final; it represents an opportunity to try again with more knowledge than before. Therefore, participation is very important.

Ms. Sourabha and Ms. Srusti (II B.Sc) invoked the blessings of the Almighty. Ms. Janisha, the Student Convener of the Science Association, extended a warm welcome to the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest to the audience. Meanwhile, Mr. Mithul D. Rai (III BCA C), the Student Convener of the IT Association, provided an introduction to Terahertz 2025. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Vamsh (II BCA A), and the program was ably hosted by Ms. Shreya Prabhu (II BCA C).

Terahertz 2025 featured ten events, namely Mathevo (Mathematics Event), Intellivida (Zoology and Botany Event), NeuroQuant (Physics Event), ChemIntel (Chemistry Event), Hephaestus (Best IT Manager Event), Quizelligence (Quiz Event), WebXpo (Web Designing Event), CerebroCode (Coding Event), Urban Visions (Photography Event), and Mystify (Surprise Event). Altogether, 130 students took part in these events. The events, consisting of multiple rounds, were conducted smoothly in the laboratories, seminar hall, and classrooms after the inauguration ceremony. The fest concluded with the valedictory program, during which Ms. Pajwa Disha (II BCA B) welcomed the gathering. This was followed by the distribution of prizes to the winners of various events by Dr. Premalatha V.; Mrs. Babitha S., Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications; Mr. Dhyanaja Alva; along with the staff conveners of Terahertz 2K25. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sharanya T. S. (III B.Sc) and was hosted by Ms. Diya Rao (I B.Sc).

The Science and IT Student Conveners — Ms. Janisha (III B.Sc), Mr. Mithul D. Rai (III BCA C), Ms. Raksha R. S. (II B.Sc), and Mr.Vamsh (II BCA C) — efficiently managed all the events. The program was well-coordinated by the staff conveners — Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala, Mrs. Soujanya D, Mrs. Vinutha, and Mrs. Rakshitha.This activity strived to achieve core values of contribution to national development, inculcating a value system, promoting the use of technology, and quest for excellence amongst the student participants.
