The National Service Scheme Unit of Canara College organized a Campus Cleaning Drive on 21st August, 2025 at college campus with the objective of creating a clean, green and healthy environment within the camps premises. The program was conducted under the guidance of the NSS Program Officers, who motivated the students to actively participate and take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the surroundings.
The event commenced at 8.30 A.M. with a short briefing about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. Volunteers were divided into groups and allotted specific areas of the campus. Volunteers collected litters, removed dry leaves and plastic waste from the campus. The entire activity was carried out with great enthusiasm and teamwork, spreading the message of cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
Overall the campus cleaning drive was a great success, instilling a sense of discipline, teamwork and social responsibility among the students. A group of 137 NSS volunteers undertook the cleaning activity under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officers Mrs. Sushama C & Mrs. Smitha M. and NSS Assistant Program officer Mr. Karthik.
