Message on Sadbhavana and Oath-Taking Ceremony

The NSS Unit of Canara College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a Message on Sadbhavana and Oath-Taking Ceremony on August 20, 2026, to mark the observance of Sadbhavana Diwas. The programme aimed to create awareness among NSS volunteers about the importance of communal harmony, national integration, peace, unity, and mutual respect.
The NSS Programme Officers, Mrs. Sushama C. and Mrs. Smitha M., delivered a message on the significance of Sadbhavana Diwas. They highlighted the importance of maintaining communal harmony, respecting diversity, fostering brotherhood and strengthening national unity. The volunteers were encouraged to become responsible citizens and actively contribute towards building a peaceful and harmonious society.
As part of the programme, the NSS Secretary, Ms. Sakshi, led the oath-taking ceremony. The NSS volunteers took the oath to uphold communal harmony, promote unity and brotherhood, respect all communities and work towards maintaining peace and integrity in society.
The programme provided an opportunity for NSS volunteers to reaffirm their commitment to the values of peace, harmony, unity, tolerance and responsible citizenship. A total of 63 volunteers participated in the programme.
