On March 8, 2025, the Department of Physics, along with the Chemistry Department and CAAST, organized a visit to the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, for third-year BSc students. Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala, a staff member from the Physics department; Mrs. Roopashri K. P. and Mrs. Soujanya D. from the Chemistry department; and Mrs. Rajyalaxmi from CAAST, along with students participated in a one-day National-level Panel discussion on “From Science to Society: Scalable Solutions for Clean Water.”
The panel discussion commenced at 10:30 AM by the eminent scientists of India, and the students were to exposed to such event for the first time. 5 students from the Physics department, 10 students from chemistry, and 8 students from CAAST- hence a total 22 students and 4 staff members – participated in that panel discussion. These activities were designed to provide practical insights into scientific concepts and promote a holistic understanding of the subject.
