The Science Association organized an outreach program for PUC students, featuring a Collage Competition on the topic of “Biodiversity”, on November 16, 2024, at Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe College, from 12.00PM to 1.30PM. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to showcase their creativity and raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity in sustaining life on earth. The activity was organized with the joint efforts of the Science Association and its staff convener. The dedicated students took the initiative to collaborate with the association, playing a key role in the event’s successful execution.
Participants crafted visually stunning and thought-provoking collages that highlighted the beauty, diversity, and significance of biodiversity. The artworks underscored the urgent need for conservation and inspired discussions about environmental sustainability among the attendees. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students demonstrating their artistic talents and sharing innovative ideas. This competition not only celebrated creativity but also emphasized the role of young minds in addressing global environmental challenges.
A total of 52 students in 13 groups participated enthusiastically, creating exceptional collages that highlighted the beauty and importance of biodiversity. The competition entries were judged on the basis of exceptional artwork, alignment with the competition’s objectives, creativity, neatness and presentation. The evaluation was carried out by Ms. Madhusree, HOD of Botany, who praised the participants for their innovative ideas and artistic skills.
