The Nature Club of Canara College observed World Ozone Day – 2025 on September 16, 2025, by organizing a Write-up Submission Activity on the theme “From Science to Global Action” for its members. The activity encouraged students to reflect on the significance of the ozone layer, the causes and consequences of ozone depletion, and the scientific as well as policy-driven measures adopted worldwide to address the issue.
Students were instructed to prepare a typed, original write-up demonstrating their understanding of the theme. Submissions were accepted through email at natureclub@canaracollege.org, with the deadline set for September 22, 2025. A total of 19 Nature Club members actively participated by submitting their write-ups.
The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness, strengthen scientific thinking, and engage students in articulating their knowledge through a structured and creative format. This initiative also reinforced the importance of global cooperation in safeguarding the planet and highlighted the role of youth in advocating for environmental protection.
