On October 9, 2024, Canara College celebrated Sharada Pooja, a celebration that harmoniously blended spiritual, intellectual, and cultural aspects and enhanced the campus environment.
The event, characterized by Bhajan and Pooja, was dedicated to honoring Goddess Sharada, the embodiment of knowledge. The ritualistic Pooja ceremonies conducted at strategic locations underscored the sacred nature of academic spaces, elevating the pursuit of knowledge to a reverential undertaking.
In the presence of esteemed guests, CA M Jagannath Kamath, Correspondent, and Sri. K Shivananda Shenoy, Manager, the event took on added significance. Their participation symbolized the college’s unwavering commitment to holistic education. Additionally, the presence of members from the Alumni Association and Management personnel further heightened the event’s importance.
A Pooja conducted at the library specifically sought divine blessings for the ongoing pursuit of knowledge, acknowledging the library as a sacred space crucial for academic growth. The Sharada Pooja celebration at Canara College epitomized the institution’s dedication to a comprehensive educational approach, seamlessly integrating cultural traditions, academic sanctity, and spiritual values. The enthusiastic involvement of the college community, coupled with the esteemed presence of distinguished guests, transformed the event into a resonant tribute to Goddess Sharada and a celebration that honored wisdom and cultural heritage.
