The second session of the EquiLearn series was organized by the Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Commerce on March 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm, with the participation of 14 M.Com students. Mr. Sharath Kumar, Proprietor and Chief Instructor of Trading Zone, Mangaluru, introduced the concept of fundamental analysis, explaining how it helps investors assess the intrinsic value of stocks. He emphasized the importance of evaluating financial statements, industry trends, and macroeconomic indicators to make informed decisions for long-term investments. His insights highlighted the role of patience and discipline in building wealth through sound investment strategies.
In the second part of the lecture, he elaborated on technical analysis, focusing on its application in intraday trading. He demonstrated how charts, patterns, and indicators can be used to predict price movements and manage risks effectively. The interactive discussion allowed students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practices, making the session both engaging and practically relevant.
The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator, M.Com Department, and was successful in enhancing students’ understanding of investment strategies by blending academic concepts with practical applications.
