Navigating NSE and BSE: Building Investor Confidence

The Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Commerce inaugurated its EquiLearn Series with Session 01 titled “Navigating NSE and BSE: Building Investor Confidence” on March 13, 2026. The programme was conducted by Mr. Sharath Kumar, Proprietor and Chief Instructor of Trading Zone, Mangaluru. He provided an insightful overview of investment opportunities, explained the various types of investments available, and elaborated on the key parties involved in the stock market. Emphasizing the role of SEBI in safeguarding investors’ interests, he highlighted its importance in ensuring transparency and trust in financial markets. Further, Mr. Kumar explained the significance of opening a Demat account and stressed the necessity of fundamental analysis in making informed investment decisions.
The session was highly interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and engage with real-world examples, thereby enriching their learning experience. The inaugural session of the EquiLearn Series successfully achieved its objective of enhancing investor awareness and confidence, laying a strong foundation for subsequent sessions in the series. Coordinated by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator, along with faculty members, the programme was well received by the 53 M.Com students in attendance.
