The program began with a prayer sung by Ms. Sourabha and Ms. Prajna. This was followed by the introduction of the resource person and the welcome address delivered by Ms. Abhijna. The Principal Dr. Premalatha V. presided over the session and delivered a message emphasizing the importance of research projects for science students, highlighting how project work helps in developing scientific thinking and research skills.

The session was delivered by Dr. Rachael Natasha Mary, Associate Professor and H.O.D of Chemistry, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) who served as the resource person. During the session, she explained various project topics that students can select based on feasibility, availability of materials, and time. She guided the students on how to begin the project work and how to plan the experiments systematically.

She also explained simple and effective methods to conduct experiments and described the steps to be followed during the reaction process, including maintaining proper procedures, observations, and recording the results. Her guidance helped students understand how to proceed carefully during experimental work.
