The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Canara College organized “Shark Tank – The Entrepreneurial Challenge” on November 06, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. in the Smt. Ratna S. Shenoy Memorial Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to inculcate entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and business acumen among students.
A total of 30 students participated in the event, forming 10 teams. Each team was allowed to pitch its business idea before a panel of judges. The participants presented their ideas by explaining the uniqueness of the product or service, target market, revenue model, and growth potential. The judges actively interacted with the participants, raising questions and offering constructive feedback, which helped students refine their ideas and gain real-world entrepreneurial insights.The event was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges, Mr. Sandesh Shenoy, Entrepreneur and Mrs. Jayashree Shetty, an Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce & Management, who assessed the teams based on innovation, feasibility, presentation skills, and overall business potential.
At the conclusion of the event, the results were announced. The First Place was secured by “Dive Dynamos” comprising Arpitha, Chayarashmi, and Manjunath of II M.Com. The Second Place was awarded to “Aqua Visionaries” consisting of Arjun, Soyam, and Veer of II B.Com C. The Third Place was bagged by “Bold Bidders” comprising Nowreen Banu, Harshita, and Gauthami Shetty of II M.Com.The programme provided an engaging platform for students to showcase their creativity and confidence, and it successfully motivated participants to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
