The Electoral Literacy Cell of our college has organized a interactive session on “The role of media in democracy in India” on 27th November, 2025 in seminar Hall. The aim is to provide a platform for discussions for students on role of media on social and political issues in India. The resource person Mr.Chandrasekhar Kulamarva, editor Uppayukta news, digital social media spoke on the role of media in the formation of public opinion on social issues ,make the governance more transparency and accountable in democracy. It allows students to raise some queries on regulatory mechanism for social media publishing fake news which challenging the democratic fabric of India. The session presided over by Professor Dejamma A., Head of the Department of Commerce and in-charge Principal; Convener Dr. Ganesh.Shetty.U, Mr.Sharan Karanth,Lecturer ,P.G Centre for Master of computer Application.A total of Total 80 students have participated in the inter-active session.
