An industrial visit was organised for the second-year BBA students by the Department of Business Administration on November 21, 2025, to Srichakra Plastic Containers Pvt. Ltd. and Navadurga Food Products Pvt. Ltd., located in the Nandikur Industrial Area, Padubidri. A total of 24 students were accompanied by their Academic Class Mentors, Mrs Rithika and Ms Bhavana. At Srichakra, students observed the end-to-end production of sack thread and sacks, including raw material handling, thread conversion, roll formation, stitching, machine capacity management, and shipping logistics. They also learned about additional products, such as calcium seals used for LPG cylinders.
At Navadurga Food Industries, students gained insights into the large-scale production of baked items such as cakes, muffins, and cupcakes under brands like Lite Eatz, Nandini, and Ribbons and Balloons. They were introduced to quality control practices, hygiene protocols, cold-room operations, product testing, and packaging standards. The visit highlighted efficient labour management, systematic workflow, and food safety measures practised in modern manufacturing units.
- The visit provided students with practical exposure to real-time industrial processes, enabling them to understand the functioning of manufacturing units, production workflows, and quality control systems at Srichakra Plastic Containers Pvt. Ltd. and Navadurga Food Products Pvt. Ltd.
- Students gained insights into modern machinery, safety standards, packaging technology, and sustainable manufacturing practices, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and industrial application.
- The interaction with industry professionals enhanced students’ knowledge of workplace ethics, supply chain management, and career opportunities, thereby improving their industrial awareness and employability skills.
