The Computer Science and Applications Department held a seminar about ‘Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking’ on November 24, 2023, at 2:30 PM in the college seminar hall. Mr. Rohith N., a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and cyber security expert from Tec byheart in Kochi, Kerala, led the session. He spoke about different cybercrimes like phishing, Dos attacks, Web jacking, Cam hacking, and IOT, showing live demos of ethical hacking techniques. He explained how ethical hacking helps by finding and fixing security weaknesses before they are misused. He also discussed data protection rules and their role in enhancing an organization’s security.
Seventy-four final-year BCA students attended. Mrs. Jayabharathi K.P., the Head of the department, welcomed everyone and introduced the speaker. Mrs. Rakshitha, a faculty member, managed the session.
