The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Canara College, Mangalore, organized a seminar on “Role of Women in Nation Building” on account of National Integration Week on November 24, 2023, as an initiative of IQAC. The resource person Mrs. Vidya Kamath, Secretary, Lions Club, Kadri Hills, Mangalore, and a woman entrepreneur, briefed about the role played by women in the development of Indian society and their importance in nation building. She highlighted women’s contribution to building a strong and vibrant nation. They play a significant role in community building and often take on leadership roles in the nation. They are the key to sustainable development and quality of life in the family. Women entrepreneurs can provide innovative solutions to existing problems in various industries. They often bring different perspectives, insights, and ideas to their businesses that can help growth and innovation.
The session was well received by the students. 72 Students benefitted from this programme. The session was coordinated by Mrs.Vinoda V. Nayak and Mrs. Priyanka, the conveners of the Cell.
