A study visit to the Mathematics Lab at Government High School, Nada, Belthangady was organized by the Department of Mathematics on 3rd June, 2023 for the Final PMC students. The goal of the study visit was to learn and gain new skills and knowledge and teach the students how to improve creative thinking and to provide an analysis on their perception of creativity in problem solving using different techniques. 28 students along with two lecturers actively participated in this visit.
Mr. Yakub Keyyur, a Maths teacher at the Government High School, was awarded with National Prashasthi for his contribution to build a Mathematics lab named “MATHS WORLD”. Mr. Yakub Keyyur briefed and educated our students on Mathematics Lab. He also showed many videos and demonstrated experiments related to mathematics. While coming back from the destination we also visited Saalu Marada Thimakka Botanical Garden to develop environmental awareness in students.
This activity provided an opportunity to students to learn new things related to Mathematics. Students enjoyed the visit and received good feedback. Mrs. Keerthi Alva, HOD of Mathematics and Mrs. Poornima, Lecturer, Department of Mathematics accompanied the students.
