The Physical Education Department held a Power Lifting Competition on April 5, 2023, in the Gym Room exclusively for male students. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Premalatha V., the Principal, and coordinated by Mr. Avinash, the Physical Education Director. In the Below 75kg category, 7 students registered, and Karthik from III BCom A emerged as the winner, with Pranay Shetty from II BCom C as the runner-up. In the Above 75kg category, 5 students registered, and Suhan from II BCom A won first prize, while Pavan S. from III BSc secured the runner-up position. Krishna Karanth from III BCom B earned the third place in this category. The tournament aimed to improve the students’ overall mobility, strength, and speed to reduce the risk of falls.
This activity strived to achieve core values of contributing to fostering global competency and eliciting quest for excellence amongst the student beneficiaries.
