Nature Club in association with Department of Botany has organized a Seminar on “Techniques of Organic farming” on December 13, 2022. The resource person Dr. Rashmi, Assistant professor in Botany Vijaya college Mulki has given an information and training on organic farming and she said that the “Organic farming is a technique which involves the cultivation of plants and rearing of animals in natural ways. This process involves the use of biological materials, avoiding synthetic substances to maintain soil fertility and ecological balance thereby minimizing pollution and wastage”. She also said that as compared to chemical and fertiliser- utilised products, organic products are more nutritional, tasty, and good for health. The resource person also given information regarding the steps and techniques involved in organic farming process. 42 students have actively participated in this training programme.
