Terahertz 2022- A Science & IT Fest

Terahertz 2022 – A Science and IT Fest was jointly organized by Science & IT Associations of our college on December 10, 2022 at 9:30 am with the theme “Thrive to Succeed”.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Atul Bhat, Asst. Professor, Poornaprajna College, Udupi and alumnus (Batch 2009-2012) inaugurated Terahertz 2022. In his address, he shared his experience as an alumnus of this college. He encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities available in the college as it would help them in their all-round development.

Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, in her presidential address appreciated the conveners for organizing the fest and wished the participants and the organizers a fruitful day.

Mrs. Shailaja Kumary T.G, IT Convener introduced Terahertz and the events in the fest. Terahertz 2022 had 9 events namely, IT Manager (Best IT Manager Event), Bug Smashers (Coding Event), Walkie Talkie (Communication Skills Event), Paper Blink (PPT Event) Planckton (Physics Event), No More Errors (Maths Event), Chemphilly (Chemistry Event), Adrenaline Rush (Zoology Event) and Sprouts (Botany Event).

Altogether 57 students took part in these events. A preliminary round was conducted for 2 events of IT on the previous day and 2 events of Science at 9am on the day of the fest.

After the inaugural function, various events were conducted in the Labs and Classrooms. Prizes were distributed by the Terahertz 2022 conveners and Mrs. Sandhya, Program Head at the end of the fest.

Ms. Pratika I BCA and Srijanya II B.Sc, rendered the invocation. Ms. Vikhitha V., Student Convener, Science Association welcomed the guests and the gathering. Ms. Suvidha Shetty, Student Convener, IT Association proposed the Vote of Thanks. Mr. Karthik C. Malsekar, Student Convener, IT Association compered the programme. Staff conveners, Mrs.Prathima V. Baliga, Mrs. Pushpanjali S, Mrs. Poornima and the Program heads collectively coordinated the programme. This program strived to achieve quest for excellence and promoting the use of technology among the particiants.
