The career guidance programme is a comprehensive developmental programme designed to assist individuals in making and implementing educational and occupational choices. To develop employability and enterprise skills such as teamwork and communication career guidance programme was organized by the Department of chemistry on December 22, 2016 for the final year BSc 80 students in Canara College Room No. 23 at 3pm. Dr. Ronald Pinto, Former principal, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru was the resource person.
After the formal function he started off with a motivating phrase “Aim high for you will be never higher than your thought”. He touched upon various aspects like campus interview, aptitude test, placement and interview techniques and many more. He explained in detail about the branches of science one can opt for higher studies .Most importantly he told the students how to present the CV / RESUME, how to attend an interview, common interview questions, team spirit etc.
Students were enthusiastically listen the session and interact with the resource to clear their doubt about the future opportunities.
