Lakshya 2015, a one day interclass commerce fest was held on August 31, 2015. Lakshya was inaugurated at the Seminar hall of the college at 9.15 A.M, by the Chief Guest, Prof Ramesh Kedilaya, Retired professor in Economics of Canara College.
The programme began with a prayer by Akshatha and party. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the chief guest Prof Ramesh Kedilaya , Dr K V Malini, the Principal, Mrs Aparna Kamath, Head of Department, Miss Megha Kamat, Staff Coordinator, and the Student co ordinators, Sumesh and Bobson.
In his inaugural address, Prof Ramesh Kedilaya emphasized on the need to prepare the students to accept defeat as a phase in the competitive life. He spoke about various real life incidents where people grabbed opportunities and took risks in life in spite of the fear of failure to become successful.
The principal observed the fact that such competitions help the students to identify their talents, skills and bring forth their creativity.
The Master of Ceremony was Ms Priya Kamath of II M Com. Ms Dhanashree Mallya of II MCom proposed the vote of thanks.
The Valedictory progamme and the Prize distribution ceremony were held on the same day at 4.30 P.M in the seminar hall. Ms Sushmitha of II MCom presented a brief report of the day. Bobson Rego, II M Com was the Master of ceremony. Kajal of II M Com proposed the vote of Thanks. The Principal, Dr K. V Malini was present for the prize distribution.
