The new add on course “Herbal remedies for minor ailments” was inaugurated by Sister Agnes Frank, Project Coordinator Shubhada, Sooralpady Gurpur Mangalore.In her inaugural speech she told that such a course is very important and it is happiest thing that Dept. of Botany and Nature club now started this course. Students not only study this course, but also make to reach the usefulness of this course to the society.The Principal of the College Prof. M. Satish Bhat in his Presidental remark told that for small ailments such as fever, headache etc instead of running to shops and hospitals, we can prepare our own medicines from locally available herbs and consume the same.
Dr. M. S. Joishi Kumble ,H.O.D Dept. of Botany,delivered the welcome speech, demanded the students to take maximum benefits from the resource persons of the course. Nature Club Secretary,Kumari Anupama Karanath introduced the resource person. Kumara Nikitha N.K,rendered the vote of thanks. Kumari Meghana conducted the programme. Another resource person Smt. Lalitha Bhaskar and Nature club President and Botany Lecturer Kumari Phushpanjali were present.
