Dr. S R Ranganathan’s Day Celebration 2012

Dr. S.R. Ranganathan’s day was celebrated on 14th of August 2012 in the Seminar Hall of the college. The noted litterateur Sri. V.G Nayak was invited as the chief guest who spoke about ‘reading habits’ how and why we need to develop a reading habit, how a book brings positive changes in one’s life with an example. He also appealed to the students how there is a need to make proper use of the libraries.

Principal Prof. Satish Bhat, presided over the function. Sri. S.S Kamath, President, CHS Association spoke on the occasion. Librarian T. Indira, welcomed the gathering and gave a introductory talk. Smt. Rekha Devi, Library Assistant gave a brief introduction about S.R Ranganathan. A Power Point Presentation on the life and achievements of Dr. Rangantahan was presented by th B.Com Students. Miss Pallavi rendered the Prayer. Miss. Swapna gave vote of thanks and Raghavendra Prasad Compered the programme. Programme ended with the sweet distribution.
