The Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Commerce organized a half day workshop titled Hands On Learning with Jamovi on April 13, 2026, at 10:30 AM in Lecture Hall 22, Canara College, Mangaluru. The session was conducted by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator, M.Com Department, and was designed to provide students with practical exposure to statistical tools and techniques.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to writing and testing hypotheses, applying descriptive, parametric, and non parametric tools, and checking the normality of distributions. They gained hands on experience in entering data into Jamovi, generating graphs and charts, and interpreting results. The interactive format allowed students to practice real time analysis and develop confidence in applying statistical methods. A total of 25 students of II M.Com actively participated in the session.
