The Fine Arts Association of Canara College, Mangaluru, organized the inauguration of two exciting add-on courses: Professional Beauty Care Skills and Dance Fundamentals on September 29, 2025. The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Premalatha V., Principal of Canara College, along with IQAC coordinators Mrs. Anasuya Bhagawath and Mrs. Megha.
The resource person of Professional Beauty Care Skills, Ms. Aruna Bhandary, Manager and Makeup Artist of The Glam Studio, Professional Beauty Saloon, emphasized the importance of professional grooming in daily life, highlighting the course’s potential to equip students with valuable skills.
The resource person of Dance Fundamentals, Mr. Hardik Kumar, Instructor at Dfrolics Dance and Fitness Studio, Mangaluru, encouraged students to make the most of the opportunity, noting that such courses can enrich their college experience. The program was meticulously organized by the convenor of The Fine Arts Association, Mrs. Usha Nayak extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Ms. Devika served as the program’s compere, while Ms. Anushka introduced the esteemed guests. Ms. Srusti delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all involved. Other staff members, Mrs. Keerthana M Bhat, Mrs. Rakshitha Uchil, Mrs. Namitha, Ms. Sai Spoorthi, and Ms. Pooja were also present. The Association’s Secretary, Ms. Soundarya G. Bhat, and joint secretaries, Ms.Thashwini and Ms. Ananya Y S, played key roles in the event’s coordination.
The significance of these add-on courses reflects the college’s commitment to providing holistic education, allowing students to explore their interests in fine arts and professional skills. By offering such programs, Canara College aims to foster talent and prepare students for diverse career paths.
A total of 79 students actively participated in this programme.
