The Department of Business Administration organized a seminar on Emotional Intelligence-The New Age Leadership Skill on 25 September, 2025, at 10.30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The program commenced with an introduction of the topic along with a warm welcome address and introduction of the resource person, Dr. Steevan D Souza N, Assistant Professor, Post Graduate Department of Business Administration, St. Aloysius Institute of Management and IT, Mangaluru.
The resource person conducted interactive sessions, where students were divided into small groups and given thought-provoking questions related to stress management and emotional intelligence. Each group discussed and presented their perspectives, which encouraged active participation, team spirit, and critical thinking.
Through this activity students gained practical insights on how emotions influence decision-making, communication, and leadership. The seminar helped the students to understand the importance of building empathy and handling conflicts effectively. Overall the seminar proved to be highly beneficial and engaging. The students appreciated the interactive format, as it allowed them not only to learn key concepts of emotional intelligence but also to reflect on their own emotional strengths and areas of improvement.
Principal Dr. Premalatha V, Mrs. Seema Prabhu, HOD, Department of Business Administration, Mrs. Laxmi Hedge, and Mr. Hardik P Chauhan were present for the program. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Laxmi Hedge, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Business Administration. A total of 57 students attended this program.
