Seminar on “Study Abroad and Career Opportunities”

To guide students towards global education and employment avenues, the Training, Internships, and Placement Cell of the institute, in association with Edroots International, Mangaluru, organized an insightful seminar titled “Study Abroad and Career Opportunities” on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. in the College Seminar Hall.
The seminar began with an overview of the benefits of pursuing higher education overseas, including access to world-class academic institutions, exposure to diverse cultures, and enhanced career prospects. He provided detailed information about popular study destinations such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany, explaining their education systems, application processes, and post-study work opportunities.
The speakers gave inputs on each destination, their education systems, and student-friendly immigration policies. She also explained the admission process step-by-step, guiding students through the selection of courses and universities, preparation of required documents such as the Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letters of Recommendation (LOR), and the importance of language proficiency tests like IELTS and TOEFL. The seminar also covered essential topics such as scholarship opportunities, visa application procedures, and financial planning for studying abroad. Toward the end of the session, students participated actively in the Q&A round, seeking clarifications on part-time job options, cost of living, accommodation, and long-term career paths abroad. The speaker patiently addressed all queries and encouraged students to make informed decisions about their educational futures.
The Principal In-charge, Mrs. Dejamma A., in her presidential address, emphasized the growing importance of global exposure in higher education and career development. She asserted that international education enriches not only academic and career prospects but also promotes personal development, adaptability, and a wider global perspective. Addressing the students, she spoke about the need to stay informed about global trends and to remain open to new learning environments beyond national borders. She encouraged students to take such seminars seriously, view overseas education as a practical and achievable goal, and make informed decisions aligned with their interests and aspirations. She also stressed the importance of developing skills, confidence, and cultural awareness to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
The TIP Coordinator, Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, introduced the Speakers and also proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating their efforts in sharing valuable insights and motivating students with a renewed sense of direction and purpose.
A total of 128 students benefitted from this seminar.
