The Centre for Post Graduation Studies in Commerce organized an insightful program titled “Business Research Methodology Series 1.0, Part 2- “Understanding the Literature Reviews” on December 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The event was specifically designed for M.Com final students, with 40 participants in attendance. The chief guest, Ms. Babitha S., Head of the Department of Computer Science and Application, emphasized the importance of advancing technology in academics. She highlighted how incorporating technology can significantly enhance academic pursuits and research methodologies.
Ms. Pooja, an Assistant Professor at Government First Grade College, Uppinangady, served as the resource person. She provided a comprehensive understanding of literature reviews, explaining their meaning, significance, and the methodology for conducting them. Additionally, she offered hands-on experience with Google Scholar and other search engines, equipping students with practical skills for their research endeavors.
The program was presided over by Dr. Premalatha V., Principal of Canara College, who underscored the importance of literature reviews and the role of research in academic life. Her presidential remark stressed that research is an integral part of life and requires patience and dedication. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator of the M.Com Department, and Ms. Sushmitha served as the student coordinator. The master of the ceremony, Ms. Anjana Baliga, ensured the event ran smoothly, while Ms. Anusha delivered the welcome speech, and Ms. Hruthika expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers with a heartfelt vote of thanks. The core values highlighted during the program included promoting the use of technology for a green environment and fostering a continuous commitment to excellence.
