The Chemistry Department organized the Chem Design Activity for II B.Sc. students on November 27, 2024. The activity aimed to bridge the gap between art and science, helping students comprehend chemistry concepts by creating designs based on chemical structures, instruments, or elements.
The students formed 4 teams of a total of 16 members and actively participated in crafting beautiful and intricate designs filled with chemical structures. The designs showcased the students’ creativity and understanding of chemistry concepts, with each team presenting their unique interpretation.
The event provided a hands-on learning experience, combining education with creativity. It also fostered teamwork and communication among students, as they collaborated to bring their ideas to life. Faculty members of the department guided and supported the teams throughout the activity. The students thoroughly enjoyed the process, appreciating the opportunity to learn chemistry in an innovative and interactive way. The event highlighted the importance of integrating art and science for better conceptual understanding.
