The Student Welfare Council Inauguration was held on December 12, 2021 in Smt. Ratna Bai Memorial Seminar Hall.
“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way” said Mr. Premananda shetty, Mayor, Mangalore city corporation while inaugurating the Student Welfare Council of Canara College, Mangalore.
He also said “Humbleness, politeness, discipline, friendly attitude, decision making, flexibility are the qualities of an able leader. Nothing is impossible when the leader is able to combine the principles of Light of Knowledge with Love.”
Dr. Premalatha. V, Principal, delivered the introductory speech.
Student Welfare Mentor Mrs. Sushama R Shetty administered the oath to the office bearers of student welfare council. Ms. Madhushree, Student Welfare Mentor read the list of Secretaries and Joint secretaries of various associations. Sri. Basthi purushotham shenoy, Alternate treasurer, CHS association, Mangalore were present. General proficiency prizes 2020-21was also distributed during the program.
Mr. Shrihari, President, Student welfare council welcomed the guest and the gathering. Ms. Aparna shenoy, Vice President, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Arathi, III B.Com D, compered the programme.
Altogether 100 students and 50 staff members took part in this programme.
