The Department organized an outreach activity on Health and Hygiene with the theme Healthy Habits for a Healthy Life, a week-long activity from October 24 to October 31, 2025 to encourage students to understand and communicate the importance of healthy habits in daily life. The activity combined creativity, learning, and community engagement. The outreach activity was conducted in two phases – poster Designing and Community Awareness
Phase 1: Poster Designing
Students were instructed to design a creative and informative poster based on the theme. The posters highlighted topics such as hand hygiene, cleanliness, healthy eating and disease prevention and control. This phase allowed students to express their ideas visually and understand key health concepts.
Phase 2: Community Awareness
After completing their posters, students visited their neighborhood to spread awareness on health and hygiene practices. They interacted with local residents, explained the importance of adopting healthy habits, and encouraged community members to follow simple yet effective hygiene routines. Students captured photographs and also short videos of their interaction.
Each student submitted the original posters to the department. The photographs and videos of their community outreach was shared through WhatsApp. A total of 7 students participated in the activity.
- The activity boosted students’ creativity, presentation skills, and confidence in interacting with the public.
- The awareness drive helped sensitize residents about personal hygiene, cleanliness, and preventive health measures.
- Students experienced the value of contributing to society and acting as health ambassadors in their own neighborhoods.
