Centre for Post Graduate Studies in Commerce organized ‘SAMSHODHANA-2023’, a State level inter collegiate paper presentation competition on July 7, 2023 at Canara College. Chief Guest of the program was Dr. Parameshwara, Chairman, Department of Studies and Research in Commerce, Mangalore University.
In his inaugural address, he highlighted the relevance of doing research related to various issues that are prevailing in the society and finding solutions to them, and joining hands for the development of the nation. Principal of the College Dr. Premalatha V. urged the students to make best use of the session and publish their research papers in the journals which will help them in their career development activities.
The session was divided into three panels with the themes on the paper related to Finance, marketing, Taxation, Banking, Indian Economy and AI in 21st century. In the afternoon session, a quiz competition was conducted by Student Convener Ms. Akshaya Pai. It was related to various aspects of research tools, where all the students took active participation.
In the Valedictory Ceremony Sri Basthy Purushotham Shenoy, Member, Governing Council, CHS Association gave away the prizes to the winners. Sri Shivananda Shenoy, Manager, Canara College; Dr. Premalatha V., Principal; Dr. Deepti Nayak, Administrator; Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Co-coordinator; Dr. Prashanth and Mrs. Megha Rao, Faculty Convenors were present. 65 students from 9 Colleges and 43 M Com students of the college participated in the program.
