The NSS units of our institution celebrated World Environment Day on June 05 and 06, 2023, with the theme “Plant with a Purpose.” The NSS Volunteers were excited to participate in the event, and they were asked to plant a sapling to create green corners. All 246 NSS Volunteers took part in the initiative and planted saplings near their homes, pledging to protect the environment.
The event was a great success, with enthusiastic participation from the volunteers, and it raised awareness about the importance of plants. Under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers, Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. Vani U.S., the program achieved the core values of Contribution to National Development and Inculcating a Value System among the students. Altogether, 246 saplings were planted by the NSS Volunteers, contributing to a greener and healthier environment.
