An extension activity on Science Awareness was organized by the Science Association on September 30, 2023, at Abhaya Ashraya, Assaigoli, Konaje Villaje, Mangaluru.
21 students of the Science Association of Canara College, conducted various activities related to the superstitious beliefs of society and first aid through performing skits under the able leadership of Mr. V. Venkatesh, Ms. Deepthika, and Ms. Manasvi, Student Convenors. Besides Science Awareness activity, in order to entertain the inmates of the ashram the students presented a wonderful cultural program comprising dance, songs, mimicry, riddles, and games. The inmates, too, joined in. The essence was to spread awareness and happiness in the ashram. 30 members of the Ashram were actively involved in the programme and keenly showed their interest by interacting with the students.
In addition to this, Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala, Faculty Convenor had offered lunch for all. Our students joined hands in serving the food. The staff convenors, Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala and Mrs. Poornima, managed the whole programme pleasantly and effectively.
