In the wake of Coronavirus outbreak and global panic, As per the guidance received by the State NSS Office, an online workshop on “Fight Against CoVID -19” through Zoom app was organized to NSS Volunteers on April 07, 2020. The main aim of this workshop is to educate the NSS Volunteers about the COVID -19, the global outbreak and steps to prevent it.
Mr.Ankit S. Kumar, Student Support Counselor and Medical Officer at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management,Mangaluru and Mrs. Seema Prabhu S., NSS Programme Officer of Canara College, Mangaluru were the resource persons.
Dr. K.V. Malini , Principal of the college presided over the workshop. In this interactive workshop 75 NSS Volunteers were trained and asked to create awareness among their contacts on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms.
