Class to Field Programme

“Preserving the tree is an obligation for everyone without exception; one tree will absorb approximately a ton of carbon dioxide during the course of its life cycle.”  The importance of trees in purifying the air, as natural resources, maintaining the ecological balance, preventing soil erosion, as medicines, habitats for faunal species, providing nutrients to the soil etc. is well known.  The “Class to Field Programme” under the themeEach One – Plant One – Protect One”, was carried out by 45 students of final BZC on January 25, 2020 under the guidance of Ms. Madhushree, Head and Mr. Manohara. A, faculty, department of Botany. Students were divided into eight groups and each group had to bring the plant and plant it in the college campus. Prior to each plantation activity, students were briefed about the significance of native trees, how to plant them and their aftercare.
