“Swachha Gelathi” a programme for educating and empowering 6th and 7th standard girl students of various schools of Dakshina Kannada about menstrual hygiene was conducted on July 28, 2018.
Our college has been allotted with 39 schools of Mangalore. Our College girls visited various schools allotted in groups. However, many of the school authority did not permit to interact with the students. The schools where interactive session was held, the young girls were very friendly and enthusiastic to listen to our students. They raised many personal questions regarding menstruation, buying and disposal of pads, etc.,for which our students answered convincingly.40 students participated in the programme.
