Election and Voters’ Awareness Programme 2018

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College organized in association with Students’ Council organized Election and Voters’ Awareness Programme on Friday, March 30, 2018 in the college campus. The staff members and the members of Students’ Council took part in the same.

The awareness programme emphasized on the importance of voting. Although millions of people vote, yet each and every vote counts and matters to select the right candidate. Hence it is vital to understand its gravity as responsible citizens of the nation.

Principal Dr. K. V. Malini in her address appealed that it is necessary to make the electorates well aware of their voting rights and it is of immense significance in strengthening democracy and building a healthier nation.

The Office Bearers and the other members of Students’ Council displayed the placards with motivational statements and slogans to ensure the significance of voting. The President of Students’ Council NikhithSuvarna too shared his views on the role and importance of voting.

IQAC Coordinator Dr. Premalatha V., remarked that we are witnessing a very interesting stage of elections and we want our students to not just cast their vote, but also know the implications of their vote. Let this awareness create wider impact amongst all the voters and the first time voters in particular.

The programme seemed to be extensively educative in enlightening the changing learning styles and thereby connecting students more effectively. The session strived to achieve the core values of contributing to national development and inculcating value system.
