Workshop on “Building Positive Attitudes and Etiquette”

Development is an enduring process of fostering, shaping and enhancing individuals’ skills, knowledge and interests to ascertain their maximum efficiency and compliance. Development covers an assortment of activities, one of which is the knowledge of Corporate Etiquette and Personality Development. This workshop aims at grooming the students through sensitizing them about proper behaviour, socially and professionally, in formal and informal circumstances.

A half day workshop was conducted on the topic “Positive Attitude and Basic Etiquettes” for the first year and second year BBA students on March 27, 2018 to polish and nurture their qualities. 50 students took part in the workshop. Dr. Rajashree, Faculty, Department of Post Graduate Studies in Commerce, Canara College, Mangalore was the facilitator. She taught these skills by conducting the management games.The talk centred on developing positive attitudes by evolving practical exercises, carrying out SWOT analysis by the students, golden strategies for a positive lifestyle, role of perception and point of view in approaching any of our life problems, ways to lead an organized and systematic life style, significance of self-love, 90/10 Principles, and few more moral stories related to developing the positive attitude. The session provided immense value addition to the learners, as it focused on many important areas. It was an enlightening session to the young undergraduates who are looking forward to enter the corporate world in the near future.

The session was a value addition to the students, as it addressed one of the most integral aspects of personality building. The insights that this session provided are essential for these budding young individuals to mould their character and to step out as unique and outstanding personalities.
