Outreach Programme ‘Catch Them Young-2017-18’

Rural schools often lack chemical science facilities and laboratories, Hence the department of chemistry organized  an outreach program “Catch them Young 2017-18”. Were the students of final year were devided into groups and made to demonstrate few chemical experiments to high school students of rural areas.

The main intension of this activity is to  reach science  remote schools which lacks the basic facility like science lab and create curiosity and interest  in science among high school students and to motivate them in basic science studies.

62 Students of PCM and BZC were visited nearly 9 schools around Mangalore and demonstrated more than 10 Experiments.

  1. Amritlalji High School , Kelarai
  2. Ramakrishna High School, Harekala, Pavoor.
  3. Ganapathi  High School, carstreet.
  4. RMS Govt.high school, Kumpala
  5. UchilBovis High school ,Uchil
  6. Kapitanio high school, Kankanady
  7. Govt. High School Angaragundi
  8. Govt. High School, Mullakad, Kavoor
  9. Govt.High School, Harekala, Pavoor.
